There's a burger stand that has become a sort of unofficial hangout for magical girls at night. Show up in henshin, order some food; the regular worker on duty doesn't bat much of an eye. And the food is quite good!
But it's not quite as good when you don't have someone to eat it with, in Tsukiko's opinion. She's sitting on a nearby roof while she munches on her burger and fries, easily visible to those around the burger stand if they actually look towards the roofline.
The wolfgirl takes a drink of her juice and sighs. "Ayana..." she murmurs sadly. "Where are you, and what's gone wrong?" She doesn't seem to be paying much attention to what's going on around her.
Cure Gull needed ALL the burgers infact. Thanks to like, fifteen cups of coffee, Hannah-chan snuggles and reassurances she would be 'mad as a bad word' if Ayana did attack her- she was able to henshin again and take off into the sky. Burgers would help get that last half of the meter filled up!
But then she spots a wolf.
---and then she frowns.
The Burger Stand Boy seems confued as Gull leaves JUST as soon as she places her feet down as she pops back up. She lands somewhere behind Cute Wolf Tsukiko. She whips her arms out, the other one brought in front of her- she is /posing/ at Cute Wolf Tsukiko and she doesn't look happy. Maybe dissapointed. But Cute Wolf knows this look. She's seen before on countless other Mahou Shoujo! There is a /JUSTICE SPEECH/ welling up inside her!---
But there's no one here except Tsukiko...
Wait.
"The bond between a familiar and a mage is personal and strong indeed! Those who mess with such bonds are horrible and serving there own ends!-- and to force somoene to love you!? How shameful!" she says pointing dramatically!
There isn't an attack! But yes, Tsukiko just got /Justice Speech'ed/.
Cute Wolf Tsukiko wasn't paying much attention to Cure Gull's arrival, although she did find it odd that she bounded away from the burger stand right as she arrives. The fact that Haruna was coming her way caught her attention, but she didn't think much about it as she snagged another french fry.
Then Cure Gull delivers a Justice Speech at her, and the fry falls from the wolfgirl's fingers as Tsukiko gapes in surprise.
"WHAT?!?" she yelps as she jumps to her feet. "What are you talking about? What's a familiar??" There's a look of utter confusion on her face -- there's no-one she's forced to love her, and some of those other terms aren't ones that she recognizes.
What she does realize is that Cure Gull is acting hostile towards her!
Cure Gull keeps her perfect pointed pose! She still looks cross.
"Playing a dumb wolf won't do you any good! Confess to your acts against truth and love, you naughty pup!" she says. "I'm talking about a friend's familiar, Ayana-chan, you jerk! How dare you confuse her with your tricks and force love on anyone!" she says. "You seemed decent at first- but you're just a toothy trickster!"
Oh, so this is what it sounds like to be talked to like a villian.
She whips her hand in front of her in a more proper battle pose-- and wind begins to whip up against her hand and spin around it- appearing to ready a 'wind chop' styled attack(?). She doesn't attack yet.
"How many more bonds have you broken!?" she calls out. "Confess and give up!" she says. "Or be punished by a lovely might of the winds of hope that soar over the ocean--- Cure Gull!" she insists.
Oh man, she's serious. What's Ikiko going to do!?
Ayana? This is about Ayana? Tsukiko blinks, momentarily trying to figure out how Ayana fits into all of this...
...wait, didn't Ayana mention being split in her love between Ikiko and Riventon? Is that what this is about?!
"W-wait! I didn't force love on anyone!" Tsukiko yelps, still trying to talk Cure Gull down, but also getting ready to dodge. "She was trying to take my locket, so I tried to henshin to get away from her! Next thing I know, we've lived through the emotions of each other's lives, and we were sensing each other's feelings."
Hopefully the wolfgirl can change the PreCure's mind soon! "I didn't even know that the Lycan Locket could do that!" she adds.
Cure Gull listens to this. She seems to consider this-- though that flare of wind around her hand does not dissapear.
"So you use a girl's heartfelt confusion to get yourself a girlfriend!?" she asks. "How messed up!" she says. "-- a person of a pure heart would had realized this and tried to fix the issue! Instead you used her!" she says.
Okay- NOW here it comes, The Pretty Cure leaps forward and attempts to come down on Ikiko with the wind chop! She better be fast!
"I won't let dark creatures like you use anyone ever again like that!" she says.
Tsukiko's readiness and reflexes serve her well as she dives to the side. The wolfgirl is safe for a moment, which is more than can be said about her late-night snack! Well, at least she got to eat most of it...
"We already cared for each other!" she shouts back, circling around to avoid being an easy target. "She tried to warn my friend and I away from her once she started saying that she had to be a villain, but we refused to give up on her, our friend! She even tried to steal my Lycan Locket so I could no longer be a magical girl, just to keep me safe from Riventon!"
Tsukiko glares at Cure Gull. "The emotional bond made us realize how much we truly, deeply cared for each other," she continues. "All I wanted to do was to make her happy, like she was when she thought of herself as a magical girl, before she started saying that she had to be a villain."
A dust of wind and power sort of flares out where Tsukiko was as she leaps out of the way. She huffs! "Those are lies and you know it! She told me herself how bad it felt to be used by you! How confused you made her feel!" she says.
"Kinda intresting how she felt that way when the bond was broken, eh!?" she spits out.
"I know your type! You just want to use others for your own ends! I won't allow you to use people and thier important people anymore! You better promise to stop or I'm going to kick your ass straight into the ocean and see if you can doggy paddle back to shore!" she says angrily.
She attempts to come down on Tsukiko again with another- un-named out windchop. She's probably gonna start calling out attack names here soon if this goes on. But she's also weakend. Maybe she can't do that right now!?
There's a twinge in Tsukiko's heart when Cure Gull mentions the breaking of the bond. The wolfgirl's step falters for a moment, but she quickly darts sideways to put a bit more space between her and Haruna.
"I remember the day that the bond broke," Tsukiko says hollowly. "Ayana had a pulse of despair so strong that I felt it across town -- we had never been able to feel each other's emotions from further than a few dozen meters before! The despair left me dazed, but that was nothing compared to what happened after that."
She slows to a halt and looks Cure Gull in the eye. "About an hour or so after Ayana's feeling of despair, something happened to her. I'm not sure what it was, but it felt like her heart was being pummeled by an avalanche of darkness. I was barely able to stand, battered by the negative energy -- and I wasn't even the target of the darkness; Ayana was." she states, her voice hardening.
Tsukiko stands resolutely, firm in her conviction. She's not going to dodge out of the way; does she think that the truth is enough protection against the ferocity of an angry PreCure?
Cure Gull doesn't find Tsukiko's accusations and story odd. In fact. She belives it. She belives it because she knows Riventon's nature is 'dark evil guy'. "Of course you probably did when he fixed her! You fluffy jerk! She's Riventon's familiar! What do you think powers her!? Fluffy bunnies and candies!?" she huffs!
Ayana's versions of events, what she knows of Riventon-chan and well- her own experiences being used by a jerk is kind of coloring her perception here heavily. Very heavily. She'll probably feel REALLY bad about this later, but right now...
"I'm not hearing a promise to stop...!" she calls out..... she spins the dial on her Prebrace...
"GULL WINDY...... KICK!" then she tries to connect with a powerful kick that looks like it'd hurt a WHOLE lot if it connects.
"STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR USING PEOPLE!"
And that kick does hurt a lot when it connects.
As do all of the rooftops Tsukiko goes skimming across.
For the next several blocks.
When the wolfgirl finally comes to a halt, it's on the edge of a building overlooking an alleyway. She glances back towards the irate Cure Gull, then winces and rolls off of the roof into something resembling a controlled fall.
"Ow," she groans as she lands in a crouch. She looks upward, then carefully starts making her way down the alley, away from the main streets. The night's conversation swims through her head, somewhat muddied by the physical pain. Her inadvertent bond with Ayana was causing problems with Ayana's bond with Riventon? And Ayana was claiming that Ikiko used her?!
"Aya-chan... what have you been saying??" Tsukiko murmurs sadly.
And that's possibly what hurts the most.
Cure Gull forms her wings again and takes STRAIGHT off towards the direction she kicked the Cute Wolf... and lands overhead of the alley to---find her gone... she huffs....
"Running away-- like a real jerk!" she huffs. When it's clear Tsukiko is gone, and not easy to find again- she sighs and then begins to waver. Off---
Okay using that attack wasn't a great idea- not in her current state.
She takes back off towards the burger stand. Nothing burgers can't fix. Maybe she should warn burger boy about the jerk wolf... maybe he'll stop giving her the discount! Huff!
