So there was some sort of big Shadow Raven-type thing flying around the lower downtown area. On of Shiniko's leftovers. 'Ravens' are on Haruna's list of 'things that make her think about bad times'- also- Corvus's lists of 'things that also make him remember bad time'. The seagull is currently holding on for dear life because there's some sort of aerial chase going on here.
Sometimes it blasts back a wave of shadow and Cure Gull has to dodge it and then there's a blast of feathers from Gull and some strike but not all....
Eventually- Cure Gull has enough and turns into a bright seafoam green streak as she barrels into the thing and brings it down to the ground somewhere in small park area in the center of downtown.
With a bright flash of green the creature is defeated- dissipating into nothing.
This doesn't stop Cure Gull from coming down of what was a spectacular kick into the ground and ughs and falls down to her butt.
"I hope these things don't stick around." she mutters.
Sakura Kinomoto was running through the town in that new outfit of hers, her face bright red. Tomoyo running behind her, camera in hand. "You're so cute, Sakura!" the girl said as she recorded everything.
Sakura just felt embarrassed as she ran. Kero flew right behind her. "Come on, Sakura. I can feel the magic this way, it--"
He went silent as the magic just disappappeared. What? She turned the corner and almost ran right into the other girl.
"Oh. Huh. I guess it wasn't a card. My bad," Kero said. Sakura eeped and stared at the other girl. ANOTHER magical girl? Oh dear! She was kind of frozen in place.
"Ohhhh, I get to record you meeting some of the other magical girls! Go on, Sakura, say hi!" The girl eeped, then slowly stepped forward. "H-hi?" she said nervously.
Cure Gull is caught on the ground. On her butt as she grumbles. "Come on Corvus. Let's go back to the coffee shop. Gotta get ready t-----" and then suddenly there's a red caped magical girl here and a girl with a camera and that girl with the red cape sure seems familiar.....
Pause.
Sakura?
"Sakura?.. Sakura-chan!!!" she says wide eyed--- and suddenly---
Well Sakura is probably being pulled into a huge. Fast. By the Pretty Cure.
"Sakura-chan! Where have you been!" she says wide-eyed. She pauses and looks to the girl with the video camera. "Who's your friend?" she asks wide eyed. She's never seen Tomoyo before.
Sakura Kinomoto squeaked as she was pulled into a hug. What? Okay, it wasn't like she was too confused by this. In fact, she was pulled into hugs all the time! She was a bit surprised the girl knew her but not Tomoyo, though.
"Errr... do... I know you?" she asked softly, sounding confused. "Oh, ummm, this is Kero. And this is Tomoyo-chan, my best friend. Errr... do you go to our school?" she asked softly, giving a nervous hug.
To be Sakura was to be hugged all the time by strange women, so she was used to it by now.
Cure Gull blinks a bit. She releases Sakura sheepishly. She squints. "Oh...!" she says. She realizes that, she never saw Sakura after the whole Scorn thing... so she thinks 'Oh, she doesn't know it's me!' at first, rather than something WAY stranger. "Oh...um..."
"Don't you remember...Scorn?" she asks sheepishly. "I was Scorn." she says. This has a twinge of shame to it, but not as much as it was.
"You know..Haruna." she says softly.
"This is.. Corvus..." she says to the seagull, who nods matter of factly repeatedly.
Sakura Kinomoto blinked and cocked her head to the side. "You're... scorn? You shouldn't talk about yourself like that. I think you're very pretty, you don't need to be scorned by anyone."
Meanwhile, behind them, Tomoyo was recording everything. "Eeeee. You're so cute, Sakura-chan."
The card captor held out her hand and gave a little smile. "Ummm. Well, my name is Sakura. I... guess you kind of already knew that, though. Are... you a magical girl, too? I'm sorry, I'm kind of new to this whole, ummm, magic thing. I only found out about it a few days ago. Do you go to my school, Haruna-chan? I'm really sorry I can't remember you." She said with an adorable, clueless smile.
Cure Gull blinks a little blankly for a moment. She thinks: 'When a witch girl named Scorn sort of steals your brother's soul you tend to remember that kind of thing and never forget.'. So. When Sakura acts like she doesn't remember- two things sort of begin forming Haruna's head.
Sakura is being polite and trying to pretend that never happened. Which doesn't make much sense.
Or something terrible happened and that might make more sense.
She frowns a little and leans forward. "No...I go to Infinity..." she says. She looks over to Tomoyo and blinks a bit.
She humphs. "Okay. So you don't remember that I was witch named Scorn and I kinda... stole your brothers soul? but then I realized I was a dope for getting tricked by a silly raven and fixed that whole mess for a bit, but then we met once on a roof and I gave you a chance to smack me upside the head but you didn't take it and hugged me instead and wished we'd fix stuff together someday...?' she asks almost rapidly fast as she frowns a little harder and leans forward.
"You don't remember /any/ of that?" she asks.
Sakura Kinomoto blinked a few times, staring at the girl.
"Sakura, that... doesn't sound good at all," Kero said. "I'm not sure you can--"
And then Sakura gave her a hug. "I'm so, so sorry. I don't know who you're talking about, but it's not me. But... it really sounds like you've had a really, really hard time with things and I'm really sorry to hear about all that." Then she pulled back and frowned. "But... about my brother... don't crush on him. He's a horrible, awful, nasty person." Only one she could talk bad about. "I don't know how he's tricked me, but trust me, you're way, way better than him. I mean, you're magic, right?" Just smiled up at her. "Besides, until a few days ago i'd never imagined magic and witches were real! It couldn't be me."
Cure Gull scrunches her nose and frowns. Okay something is wrong. "Kero-chan!" she huffs. "Don't you remember....arguing with Procyon!?" she asks. "Tiny raccoon spirit. Had a bad attitude. Liked to steal things as pranks?" she huffs!
She looks to Sakura and--she doesn't remember. At all!?
"What!? I don't have a crush on your brother!" she huffs. "Besides... I like girls..." she huffs.
"BUT! That's not important!" she suddenly insists flaililg...
<Rolling Mirror Change!.... N--n---Nurse!>
Cure Gull shoves a card into her Pretty Change Mirror and with a green flash--- is suddenly a nurse.
The first thing she does is place a Stethoscope to Sakura's forehead. This is not how you use a Stethscope. Nor is it some sort of magical one. This is serving no purpose other than to just be there. Haruna is /thinking/ it may work.
"Are you sure you're okay Sakura-chan!?" she asks suddenly worriedly. "Because all that happened!" she huffs. "It did!"
Sakura Kinomoto eeped as the girl suddenly, well, went bonkers. She took a step back. But then the stethoscope. She glanced up at it. 'I... I don't think a stethoscope works that way."
"Listen, girl, I only just woke up from a five hundred year long nap a few days ago. I don't know what or who you're talking about, but it's not us," Kero said with a shake of his head.
"Maybe there's... another girl going around? I mean, err... was she looking for... these?" she asked, holding out the windy.
"Can't be, there AREN'T any other cards or captors," Kero said with a shake of his head. "They were only released a few days ago, I'd know. Listen, kid, you're just... stressed or something. None of that stuff is real. You just need to calm down."
"But Kero, she seems so worried..."
Cure Gull huffs! "Yes! Those cards! I remember those cards!" she says.
She frowns and huffs and crosses her arms. Corvus rolls his eyes a bit. Corvus was sort of re-trapped in a tablet and still evil when Haruna met Sakura the first time so he can't verify one way or another, but he does offer... "I dunno. I usually know when Gull is telling the truth and she seems to mean it." she head tilts.
And it's not like Homura or someone dragged them back in time where stuff didn't happen, right!?
RIGHT!?
She's gonna panic text like Mamoru and Kunzite and Hannah and Madoka and Homura and Jupiter and SO MANY PEOPLE after this. 'AM I GOING CRAZY DID THIS NOT HAPPEN!?'
Regardless, she frowns. "If Procyon was still here... he'd back me up!" she huffs to Kero. She looks back to Sakura.
"I know what you do! Those capture those cards! Because they're important, right?" she asks.
Sakura Kinomoto blinked a few times, her mouth falling open. Kero was about to say something, but suddenly had his mouth covered by Sakura. "Yes. I... I do. Do... do you mean you... do you... I mean... ow!" Kero bit her.
"Okay, fine, if you REALLY know about the cards, how about you name some of them? Do that, and I'll believe you," he said with a harumph."
"Kero, don't be rude. I mean, if she says she... knows me maybe.. ummmmm... is it possible you..." She gasped, leaning forward and holding the wand tightly in both hands, smiling up at her with a big excited grin. "C-can... can you see the future? Do Yukito and I grow up and have a big family and a hundred kids and do we--" And then her cheeks turned red. Tomoyo could be heard giggling.
"You're so cute Sakura!"
Cure Gull blinks. "What, no I don't see the future! This happened last year!" she huffs. She leans forward again. "Well Um. I know one's... called Windy.. or something and there was. Water. Because that totally wrecked the themepark in downtown!" she says.
"Ohhh that one you use to fly! I forget what it was called but it let you fly n' stuff on the staff!" she says.
"I remember that. Because it was like Scorn's broom...." she says quietly, tapping her bottom lip.
She looks to Tomoyo and blinks and looks over to Sakura and she purses her lips. "Dunno why I didn't see her the last few times we met. Do you normally have someone with a camera following you around? OH! IF YOU DO! MAYBE SHE HAS TAPE!" she looks at Tomoyo. "Do you remember anything like that!? Did you tape it!?" she asks. "I mean. We were on a rooftop. Then. But..."
Sakura Kinomoto eeped, gulping. "I don't remember any of this. Flying? Can windy do that?"
Kero frowned. "Well... I suppose the... flgiht card could. But something that would..." He rubbed his chin and then shook his head. "But that'd be impossible. I think you have the wrong person."
Tomoyo shook her head. "No. I only just found out about this. But this is some great footage! You're so cute, too! Hee hee. I told you, Sakura, the special costumes are important."
Sakura sighed. "But this outfit is so embarrassing..." She looked up to cure gull. "I... don't know what's going on, with magic and everything but... I ummm... maybe... we can figure it out? Either way, it's nice to meet you and ummmm... maybe... we can be friends now?" That innocent smile again.
Cure Gull 's nurse costume fades out of existence in a green flash leaving Cure Gull as... Cure Gull.
She frowns a bit. "Hey! It is True!" she huffs and crosses her arms. "It happened! I--I know it did!" she stamps her foot!
"I remember it all! Your brother is a tall guy with like brown hair, right?" she asks. "And same color eyes, right?" she asks.
"And he tried to protect you because I tried to take your soul but I got his instead! You don't remember that all!?" she asks.
"Wait! I know! Tadase was there! So was! Um.. so was two others! Um.. that samurai dream girl!" she says. "I bet they'll back me up!"
Yes. Tadase will /totally/ back Haruna up after she called him a jerk and quit Virtue over it. This will totally happen.
Sakura Kinomoto blinked and then looked down, hugging the rod to her chest. "It... it doesn't sound like... we got along then. So... maybe... maybe it's better that I don't know or... or remember any of this? I mean, the only card I have is windy so... it couldn't... have been me."
"I suppose it's possible for one of the cards to have--" And kero shut up. "Nevermind."
"Huh? Well... we... we can start over then, right? If we didn't get along the first time, this time... we can? Maybe?" She held out her hand. "I'm still learning all this... magic stuff. So.... maybe... you could help me? If... if you want?"
Cure Gull huffs and keeps leaned forward. She has her hands on her hips now though. "Well, I'm sticking around until we get to the bottom of this, so you're gonna be stuck with me one way or another!" she exclaims. "Cuz--- Cure Gull doesn't leave her friends behind and I still owe you working together and stuff..."
"Like you-- we promised." she mutters as she leans back. She huffs at Kero.
"Yeah I remember you and you're big mouth." she huffs. "I'd never seen Procyon so riled up back then and he dealt living with jerks for like two hundred years."
Sakura Kinomoto cringed and saw this coming.
"What do you mean, big mouth?! I'm the guardian of the clow cards, little girl, and don't you forget it! Listen, maybe if we don't remember you it's because you weren't that important!"
Sakura reached up and grabbed him in a hug. "Now, Kero, I'm sure she didn't mean anything like that. Okay? She's just upset because... well... neither of us know what's going on and it's just so confusing. That's all. Listen, when we get back home we can get somem ore cake, okay?"
"... Fine," he said, sufficiently placated.
Tomoyo gave a soft sigh. "So cute..."
Cure Gull huffs! "I never said I was important!" she says keeping her hands on her hips. "Or more important than anyone else!" she huffs. She frowns and leans back and clenches her fists and huffs! "That's----!" she clenches her teeth.
Yeah, she's VERY upset at that now.
"It did happen though!" she huffs! "I know..because... because..."
'I heard your voice when I had no hope'.
She doesn't say it, but she thinks it. She huffs and crosses her arms hard.
"/Fine/. We'll talk later..." she says as she huffs and untransforms-- into-- well regular old Haruna with the blonde hair. She digs into her pocket and pulls out a card with a number on it. And a Seagull logo of some sort.
"Here..." she says.
"That's my number. You call when you wanna talk again or if you need help!" she huffs. "Okay!?" she says.
Sakura Kinomoto takes the card and then... smiles and gives her a hug. "Thank you," she said with a grin. "I'm so happy I got to meet you! i've met so many wonderful magical girls and... and it's so great to know I don't have to do this alone. I was really scared when I first started. I thought... well... I thought I was going to have to do everything on my own and... and I didn't think I could. But it's so good to know I'm going to have others I can turn to when I do all this!" And looked up at her. "So let's be really good friends, okay? I... I promise I'll do my very best not to let any of you down!"
Haruna Kurosawa frowns and shakes her head. "No one has to do 'this' alone. God. That'd be so /scary/." she admits with wide eyes. "You're not the only one, so no worries, okay?" she says.
"I'm gonna have to ask lots of people if I'm mis-rembering stuff now though." she says with a frown. But I know I'm not." she sighs worriedly.
Is she crazy? She's not crazy, right!?
"I should. Take Corvus home. It's burger night!" she insists. "And he'll get grouchy if he misses his burger."
"Ugh, it's true, I get so grouchy." insists Corvus with no shame whatsoever.
Sakura Kinomoto nodded and gave a small little wave. "Okay. I ummm... I hope you have a good time. I'm going to keep looking for the cards. I should try to find at least one."
"It's pretty worrying that none have showed up by now, Sakura," Kero said with a frown. "I don't know what if what this girl said is true, but... something is definitely up."
"I hope nothing bad... But it's great meeting you, Haruna-kun! I can't wait to get to know you better. We'll be great friends, I'm sure. And... and if you see any of those cards, please let me know!"
