Infinity University is back in session! It's not as dramatic as the change over to a new scholastic year, but a month and a half off is a long time. No doubt many students were panicking at finishing their summer homework, but Madoka was a good girl and did hers in the second week of vacation and was thus able to happily enjoy her last days off without a care. Classes being back in order means the resumption of normality for students used to planning their entire lives around school and other scholastic based activities and while this often gets one to think of things such as club activities and studying for exams it also means seeing those friends you only do at school every day and a very steady eating schedule.

For Madoka in particular it means getting up and having dinner with her family and taking a bento well prepared by her father to school, making lunch an always pleasant proposition. Today in particular it means lunch on the roof and a lunchtime encounter(can it really be called that when they go up together at the same time?) with Homura.

The door has never been fixed, exorcised, or exploded and replaced, and as it has been a while since it was able to trip up some poor student she's expecting it's shenanigans. Holding her bento by it's neat white kerchief she turns the handle and tries the door, only to have it almost immediately stick. Lunch isn't all that long, and Madoka is on something of a mission, so she peeks behind herself and checks for people behind her, only to smack her palm forward right need the handle. The keenly observant might notice a brief pink light emanating from her Soul Gem Ring, and the door is flung upon with ease!

A bright smile shows on her face as she steps out onto the roof, greeted by a nice sunny day with fluffy white clouds, reaching back behind herself to take Homura's hand and lead her beautiful girlfriend forward, walking over to a bench and sitting down, setting her bento box on her lap before untying the kerchief and lifting free the top. Rice buns, filets of salt-crusted fish, fresh vegetables and small fruit-filled pastries in the shape of kitty heads seem to be the order of the day! For some bizzare reason almost everything inside that can be counted is divisible by two. For some strange reason there's even two pairs of chopsticks!

Upon realizing this Madoka's cheeks suddenly begin taking on a color a few shades lighter than her hair.
Homura Akemi 2016-09-07 03:06:24 54144
Homura may not consider herself a good girl, but she's diligent, efficient, and has no time for nonsense. (Side note: cuddling is not nonsense and she has plenty of time for it!) Therefore Homura's homework was done pretty early on, and she spent most of the rest of the vacation spending time with Madoka and setting up a mahou clinic. Homura regrets nothing.

Since there's never any such thing as spending too much time with Madoka, Homura's walking with her up to the rooftop. She has a bento of her own, but without parents around it was something she prepared herself. Chocolate was probably the first thing that Homura learned to make well, which she learned for the sake of White Day, so of course there are tiny chocolates in the shape of Madoka's fluffy pigtails and Homura's lovely locks. There are some pieces of fried chicken, six pieces in total, and Homura is not going to even begin to talk about her adventures with learning to use a fryer. There's a side of rice mixed in with thin strips of beef and vegetables, and Homura brought some chopsticks of her own, but she assumed Madoka would have hers. She doesn't expect it to compete with Madoka's, but... she still wanted to make something for her.

Homura takes one look at the door before remembering it's particular quality, or lack thereof. She wonders why, with all of the features that this school has, no one can ever seem to fix this one door. She frowns as she sees it choosing to be difficult, but before Homura can apply a less subtle touch Madoka has already taken care of it.

So cool~. It makes Homura's heart leap to see her girlfriend acting cool like that.

Homura accepts Madoka's hand and follows her to the bench, sitting down next to her beloved and opening her own lunch box. When she notices Madoka's blush, Homura's own cheeks turn a little bit pink too, even if she hasn't noticed yet what it was for.
Madoka Akemi 2016-09-07 03:23:11 54148
"I think Papa knew who I'd be sharing my lunch with today," Madoka notes quietly, lifting one side of her bento box so Homura can take a look inside. She then gives her girlfriend a smile, only to lean over and peek into her lunchbox. Oh, fried chicken! After half a moment she blinks, "Oh, did you make that yourself, Homura-chan? It looks so good!" Another moment and she notices the chocolates, which prompts a series of small giggles.

Madoka keeps her bento on her lap, situating it so it can be easily gotten to by both of them with chopsticks. As tasty as her own lunch looks she knows exactly what she wants to try first, reaching over to her girlfriend and picking up a piece of fried chicken while giving her a smile as if she were stealing it away from her. What is this, taking without asking? Has Madoka Kaname suddenly become very rude? Perhaps she just feels free to help herself to things that belong to her girlfriend.

Or maybe sharing lunches is the exact reason they've come up to the roof.

That may be true, but it isn't the whole reason they've come up to the roof together. They're sitting close together and Madoka shifts, sliding her arm around Homura and resting her hand gently on her girlfriend's waist, rubbing gently through her uniform jacket. Soft pink eyes scan over her from the side before attempting to momentarily find beautiful purple before she quietly speaks, "You're even more beautiful in your school uniform than I remember, Homura-chan."

A happy half-giggle and she closes her eyes while happily taking a bite of fried chicken held in her other hand!
Homura Akemi 2016-09-07 03:50:00 54153
Homura tilts her head at Madoka, and then looks down at her bento, suddenly noticing what she was blushing about. She startles, and then laughs a little awkwardly. "Well, I mean... lucky guess?" Her purple eyes focus on Madoka's bento. He put a lot of confidence into that guess. "Well, it's not like we hide the fact that we spend a lot of time with each other, and they know we go to the same class, so of course we'd eat together."

On the question about fried chicken, Homura looks down into her own bento. "Yeeeah. Yeah I did. It took a couple of tries."

Homura's in henshin, in stopped time, staring at a huge column of fire coming out of her newly bought fryer. The chicken inside is beyond saving. The fire has glowing eyes. Whoever thought that a fryer youma was a good idea was a Class A jerk. This youma in particular is very, very unlucky.

"... but I think it came out okay. You can have so--" Madoka has already taken it, and Homura is grinning and shaking her head at her.

"Since I've caught you stealing, i'll have to fine you a kiss." She leans towards her girlfriend to collect said fine: a short peck on the lips.

Of course, Homura brought it to share, and even if she didn't have that intention to begin with it's not as if she wouldn't give Madoka whatever she wanted. Homura's a little sneaky though, reaching over with her chopsticks to steal a rice ball.

Just as Homura's recovering from the first blush, Madoka puts that redness right back onto her cheeks. "You like seeing me in it?" The veteran pauses for a moment, biting a chunk out of the rice ball, chewing and swallowing before saying, "Well, you look even cuter in yours."
Madoka Akemi 2016-09-07 05:10:24 54155
Madoka giggles as Homura is surprised by the neat symmetry of the bento, just as she was herself only moments before. "I didn't exactly tell him who I was going to be eating with, but I did make sure there was a little extra." Homura would know by now that for Madoka asking so much is like asking to uphold the status quo. She usually shared her fathers excellent cooking with someone every day even before she had a girlfriend.

One must feel for Madoka's poor classmates; it's fairly likely Homura will monopolize her extra food for the foreseeable future.

"Eheheh..." Madoka notices a look on Homura's face as she looks down at her lunch. She isn't sure exactly what it means except that cooking was obviously fairly difficult for one reason or another. "Well if you hard to work extra hard that just means your cooking is filled with extra love~!"

Madoka's smile is outright cheeky as Homura offers to let her have a piece of the chicken right as she's reaching across to take a piece. It's not often she decides to be bad, so it's extra fun when she is~. Or at least it is when she knows it's harmless..!

The price for stealing is quite a surprise, and Madoka blinks as a kiss is pressed to her lips. She barely gets to press back before Homura is gone and she's left chasing futilely, maintaining the connection of their lips for only a split second extra. The pink-haired girl lets out a sigh, momentarily resting her head against Homura's shoulder, "No fair. Now I'm hungry and I want kissies, but I can't fix both at the same time."

The fried chicken is happily nommed upon despite the inherent poutiness of her tone, and once she's done with it she pipes up, "It's really good, Homura-chan! I like the seasoning you used on the breading."

Madoka smiles at Homura's blush, smiling even wider a few moments later at the returned compliment. "Of course I like seeing you in it. It's what my guardian angel was wearing the first time I saw her, after all~."
Homura Akemi 2016-09-07 05:10:55 54156
"Well, we don't exactly hide our love," points out Homura, holding up her chopsticks as if to point. "I mean, we do PDAs all the time, and we didn't hide the fact that you spend so much time with me. At this point they might think that something was wrong if we didn't share food." After all, as eager as Homura was to eat with Madoka, it's hard to imagine anything that would stop her. It's just Madoka's parents assuming the obvious, right?

Though it's a little odd that they'd assume Madoka would share her food exclusively with Homura. It's accurate, but still an odd conclusion to reach. It's not as if Madoka doesn't have other friends, though it's true that Homura has been monopolizing her time lately about as much as she's monopolizing Madoka's food right now.

    Extra love?

A blazing purple arrow is knocked back, eyes and aim focused upon the foolish fire monster.

"Well that's one way of putting it," says Homura. "I was making it to share with you, so of course I wanted to make it right."

Homura's sweet little good girl is being bad, and she just can't help but adore it. Madoka's pout is responded to with a giggle as Homura leans against her. "Alas, you can have my food, or you can have my lips, but you can't have both at the same time~." When her cooking is complimented, Homura smiles and tilts her head. "You do? I'm so glad. I can make it more often for you if you want. I still have the recipe."

Their first meeting is brought up, and Homura blushes even harder. She wonders if Madoka means this timeline or the first timeline, but she decides that either one works. "We were wearing these, weren't we? I'm lucky to have such a romantic little angel, who tells me such sweet things and remembers little things like that. I'm happy to wear this for you if that's what you want."
Madoka Akemi 2016-09-07 05:11:05 54157
"It's true, we're pretty open even in front of them, and I don't really know why I'd want to hide my feelings for you from them either. They even helped drive me to the date we had on our three month anniversary." And okayed the short trip they took for their six month anniversary. Madoka smiles softly when thinking about it. "I'm really lucky they're so supportive of us. They know we love each other and they trust our judgment even though they can't know why we're so sure of ourselves."

It probably would be strange if Tomohisa assumed Madoka would only ever share her lunch with Homura from now on, but it's probably not too much of a stretch to assume she'll be doing so for the first week or so of school. Considering they spent so much of their summer vacations together it isn't hard to imagine they want to keep spending as much time together as they can.

"Could you? I really like it so I'd be happy if you made it again. Maybe we could make it together sometime on a weekend." Done with the current piece of chicken she tried Madoka makes a show of licking her fingers clean. Some jokes never get old. A napkin is used to clean them up afterwards, and Madoka uses chopsticks to eat one or two pieces of cut vegetable before having some fish as well, letting out a happy sigh. "I think we're going to have more than enough for an after school snack. If we ate all of the meal I don't think I'd have room to try your chocolates!" Clearly this would be a travesty that must be avoided.

Madoka then watches Homura, waiting until she finishes eating a bite of her rice ball before leaning in and kissing her, pressing first a peck to her lips but following it up quickly afterwards with a second one, gently wrapping her lips around Homura's bottom lip and sucking gently on it, giving it a playful flick with the tip of her tongue before whispering into her ear. "Maybe I want to have your lips as my food, Homura-chan~. They're so succulent and tasty they might just do."

She then goes back to eating as if nothing happened at all, save a certain softness in her gaze and a pink blush settling in upon her cheeks. "I'm lucky to not even have to ask, because I get to see you looking so pretty every day at school." Not that she wouldn't otherwise be seeing Homura looking pretty every day outside of school.

Her arm still around Homura she leans into her a little, squeezing her beautiful girlfriend closer. To think she used to be upset and worried about going to school here, at this high-powered, elitist private academy. It all seems so long ago, because she's so very happy right now.
Homura Akemi 2016-09-07 05:28:19 54158
"Maybe it's enough to know that we are sure," says Homura. "Once you've been in love for a while, you can learn to see it in other people. You know how they feel and what it means, because you've been there before." She chuckles, reminiscing for a moment. "I think I knew Mamo-kun loved Usa-chan before he knew, just because I saw the signs." Jumping in front of a magic beam to save her is a pretty clear sign. "They might be picking up on little actions we don't even know we're doing, and maybe that's enough for them to understand. Besides, they've always trusted you."

So Madoka really does like it? She's not just being nice? Sure, most people would compliment food just to be polite, but Homura doesn't think Madoka would be asking for more and even wanting to come make it with her if she didn't like it. Homura's smile grows brighter as that thought settles in. "Okay! I'll make more in the future, and I'll be more than happy to make some with you."

Homura covers her mouth with her hand as she has a giggle fit. Well, if Madoka thinks that her food is Finger Lickin' Good then Homura can only consider this a success.

Homrua finishes off the rice ball and starts working a bit on vegetables and rice, reaching over to shamelessly steal one of the kitty pastries from Madoka's bento. "Oh there's more than enough. I never thought that I'd have leftovers from lunch, but I wouldn't want to deny you my chocolates!"

Homura is kissed, and kissed again, breathing becoming unsteady as her lip is sucked on and licked. Madoka whispers, and Homura whispers back, "That's fine. I brought my lips for sharing with you, too."

Then they go on as if nothing happened. It's not as if exchanges like that between them are particularly uncommon. "You don't have to ask, because I like looking pretty for you. I like the way you look at me, and the way you need me, because then I know that I have you."

Madoka's arm around her is nice, and Homura slips her own arm behind Madoka's back. She leans back against Madoka, using her chopsticks to pick up bits of food and eat them. While she chews on a bit of rice, she picks up a chocolate in the shape of Homura's hair and holds it up to Madoka's lips as an offering.
Madoka Akemi 2016-09-07 05:51:43 54163
Madoka hums thoughtfully as she listens to Homura, eating while she talks and giving little nods every now and then. A soft giggle is made as Homura talks about realizing Mamoru's love for Usagi before he did himself. She finishes a bite of fish, licking her lips clean since her other arm is too busy resting around Homura to use a napkin, before speaking up herself. "So you think they notice the way we look at each other? I guess it probably isn't too hard, especially since we're not secretive at all." She smiles softly before nodding, "That have always trusted my judgment, haven't they? I've tried not to give them any reason to doubt me, and I don't really lie to them unless it's something they wouldn't understand." Which effectively means Magical Girl things only.

If Homura's cooking was accidentally horrible Madoka would be in a bind, because she wouldn't want to hurt her feelings but she also wouldn't want to lie to her. In the end she probably would end up telling the truth, though. When her antics get Homura giggling Madoka's smile becomes even brighter, and she leans into Homura to feel the effect the giggling has on her. Pretty wiggly giggly Homura-chan~!

Oh no, a kitty pastry is stolen! Madoka doesn't look the least bit upset, probably because she was expecting one of them to be Homura's all along. If she was quicker on her feet she might have remembered that stealing comes with a punishment of kisses, but alas she forgets. It really is a shame; Madoka loves kisses!

Homura's whisper is so cute that Madoka feels a flutter of happy giddiness in her tummy and she quickly replies, "Good, because they're my favorite dessert~!"

Being able to share moments of sweetness like that one are so nice, especially in the middle of a school day where she otherwise has to be on her best behavior. It really would be embarrassing if Saotome-sensei made her repeat those words out loud for the whole class, and she's also savvy enough to make Madoka do it, knowing she's to honest to lie and make up a less embarrassing comment on the spot.

"You have me as much as you need me, and more than that if you want me even more," Madoka replies. "I feel bad for everyone else because you're so beautiful, but I can't help but keep you all for myself. My beautiful, wonderful Homura-chan."

There's a soft, happy sigh as Homura leans back against her, Madoka enjoying the closeness with her girlfriend. She lets her eyes close for a few moments, doing nothing more than enjoying being so near the girl she loves. The chocolate is held near her lips and might need a little poke to get her attention, but she eventually notices and eats it slowly, smiling at the familiar flavor of Homura's yummy homemade chocolates. "Mmmm."
Homura Akemi 2016-09-07 06:19:17 54167
"I think it would be hard not to notice," says Homura. Though she has to wonder how exactly she does look at Madoka. She certainly knows how Madoka looks at her. "It's just the price of admission. I'm not going to hide from your family or avoid them, so that means giving that kind of thing away. I don't mind if they know, especially if they're supporting us."

Homura nods, and then observes. "Your judgement is pretty trustworthy. You always try to do the right thing, and you aren't given to selfishness. You tend to make good choices when you have all the right information. I think trying to deceive your parents would be pretty futile, except for the magic protecting our identities."

Homura could probably take criticism well, though if it tasted horrible she might just toss it out. It's also likely that Madoka will never taste bad cooking from Homura because the black-haired girl would throw it out rather than try to feed it to her. She has high standards, which can be discouraging when learning something new, but she also doesn't give up easily.

Homura glances sideways at Madoka, wondering just how long it would take for her to collect her 'fine'. When it doesn't come she seems a little disappointed. Oh well, Homura can just put it on credit. She doubts that they'll get through this lunch without sharing many, many kisses. After all, they'll have to make sure they have enough before having to go back to Saotome-sensei's class.

"Oh don't feel bad. Other people don't appreciate me anyways." Homura says it before even considering how it sounds, and that maybe it's unfair, then she looks away at the ground, embarrassed. She clears her throat and says, "Well I mean... not as much as you. I know I'm attractive, but I don't think anyone else actually loves me as much as you do."

As Madoka eats her chocolate, Homura decides to be a little bit of a tease, moving in to kiss Madoka, pulling her girlfriend's upper lip between her own as Madoka chews.
Madoka Akemi 2016-09-07 06:57:03 54171
Madoka knows how Homura looks at her, but not the exact way she herself looks at her girlfriend. On the other hand she does know what she feels when she looks at Homura, admiration for her beauty and all her various skills and abilities, adoration for her sweetness and dedication, a feeling of longing to draw ever closer towards her, and an overall feeling of happiness, satisfaction, and love. If all those things show in her gaze than it really would be hard for her parents not to notice.

The pink-haired girl smiles softly as she looks down into her bento, the meal itself an expression of love and an act of nurturing and care, a father's sincere attempt to feed his daughter the nutrition she needs to be healthy even while trying to make her happy. "I wouldn't want you to have to hide from them or avoid them. It makes me happy when we get to do things together with them. They've always been supportive of me, and I can't help but feel they'll be supportive of you, too, and of us."

Her tone has turned quiet and gentle, happy in a more subdued, content manner. "I'm glad you think so, Homura-chan. It means a lot to me that you put such faith into my judgment. I do try to make good decisions and do the right thing." She giggles softly and nods, "It would be pretty pointless, wouldn't it? Mama knew right away when we started dating because I was so happy, I didn't even have to tell her."

She sets down her chopsticks, reaching over to lightly set her hand on top of Homura's, eyes looking up to meet her girlfriend's a moment later. "Even if I could hide it, I wouldn't want to. I love you, and it's all the better they found out quickly. It makes me so happy that you get along with them so well..." Her voice trails off, and a moment later she picks up where she left off with a blush, "You're going to be a part of each other's lives, after all."

It does make Madoka blink a little bit when Homura says other people don't appreciate her. She could have sworn there was at least one other girl in their class that admired her, though Homura may never have noticed herself. "Eheheh... everybody notices how beautiful you are, even if they don't appreciate it as much as I do." A smile shows back on her face at Homura's last comment, "That's true, nobody loves my darling Homura-chan more than me!"

Homura presses a kiss to her lips while she's eating her chocolate, and Madoka blushes hotly, her cheeks turning red and warming enough to be felt up so close. She makes a sweet little whimpering noise, focusing on chewing instead of kissing. Homura won't get away scot-free, however. Before the kiss breaks Madoka's tongue finds Homura's bottom lip, not so much tasting it herself as delivering upon it a bit of melted chocolate!

    Hopefully Homura enjoys chocolaty kisses~.
Homura Akemi 2016-09-07 07:29:13 54176
"Well they've been more than nice to me." Homura's tone is matter-of-fact, but there's a soft undercurrent beneath it. "From the start your mother was understanding, and your father was very welcoming. It's really nice to be accepted by them, especially considering how close we're getting. I almost feel like if I want to get closer to you I'd have to get close to them, too."

"I do have faith in you. It's hard not to, since you can do the impossible." Homura blinks at what Madoka says next, and then she gets a little sheepish. "For me... it wasn't when we were dating, but when we started cuddling people noticed that I was really happy. I guess back then I was a lot more depressed, so it was pretty noticeable."

Homura gets even more sheepish, tilting her head down and away while still looking 'up' at Madoka, and her grin gets wider. "If me dating you made you that happy, then I couldn't be more flattered."

Madoka's hand is on top of Homura's, and Homura looks into Madoka's eyes. "I wouldn't want to hide it either. I'm proud of it. I'm proud that I get to date someone as sweet and wonderful as you, and I certainly couldn't dislike a family who loves you as much as you deserve. Getting to be a part of that is a privilege."

Homura shrugs as Madoka says people notice her beauty. She wasn't really thinking about that one girl when she said that.

Homura feels melted chocolate on her lips, and her tongue instinctively reaches down to lick it up, accidentally brushing against Madoka's. Well, it's a happy accident anyways.
Madoka Akemi 2016-09-07 07:54:36 54177
Madoka smiles a little more when Homura says getting closer to her might mean getting closer to her parents as well. Her upbringing has had a profound effect on her, and Madoka has always been extremely proud of her family, even in those times when she wasn't very confident in herself. "I think I'd like that, if you got closer to them."

A soft giggle escapes her at the mention of doing the impossible, though she tilts her head a little when Homura gets sheepish. When she hears what she has to say she gets just a bit sheepish herself. "Eheheh... I was doing my best to make you happy. Even if we weren't dating you were a very important friend to me. I loved you as a friend, and I still do, and I wanted you to be happy; I thought you deserved to be happy. I've never thought it was fair that someone who was trying so hard for someone else had to be so depressed." The arm around Homura squeezes her close in a supportive manner. Maybe she's not depressed anymore, but Madoka still feels bad for the Homura of the past.

"Of course it made me happy..." Madoka replies, peeking into Homura's eyes and whispering, "That kiss!" Her cheeks warm just thinking about it. Lying together in the snow after dancing together on the ice, Homura's confession, the sudden buildup of anticipation and then the electrifying moment of their lips coming together. If she wasn't blushing already she certainly would be now.

"You really are a part of it," she confirms while meeting Homura's eyes, redness on her cheeks. "I want to be with you and near you every day and I miss you when we don't see each other for a while. Just being around you feels wonderful and makes me happy, but it also feels right and normal, like it's how things should be."

Homura's tongue finds her own and the brushing together draws a soft happy sound from Madoka. It might have been an accident but Madoka is eager to prolong it, parting her lips to draw her tongue along Homura's. The melted chocolate is certainly very sweet, but Homura's kisses might be her favorite treat of all.
Homura Akemi 2016-09-07 08:32:37 54178
"I would too," says Homura, with probably a bit more confidence than she expected of herself. "Maybe it's fatalistic of me, but I think it's inevitable. I'm in no hurry but there's no point in denying it either. Besides, you have a nice family."

Was what she went through fair? It was soul-crushingly awful, so much so that Homura turned into a Witch, but everything after that... "I was more than willing to go through that for you, and I got what I wanted. You've been worth every second of suffering, and if I get to spend forever with you then I got far more out of it than I put in." She squeezes Madoka back, nuzzling her cheek against her girlfriend's. "You're the love of my life. You're an amazing significant other, and my very best friend."

Madoka recounts their first kiss, and Homura blushes. "Yeah well after spending months wishing I could kiss you I wanted to get it right." She remembers feeling a momentary shyness before that point, but... no, she wanted that kiss to be amazing, because it was important, because that was the start of their relationship. May as well make a solid first impression, right?

"Yeah," agrees Homura. "It does feel normal and right. Like this is the way it should be. Maybe I'm getting spoiled, because being with you is really amazing, but I also feel like loving you is the most natural thing in the world."

Once their tongues touch Homura doesn't break it, moving hers up and down to cover her beloved's tongue in chocolate. She takes one glance around at the rooftop to see if anyone's around, and then decides that she doesn't care even if they are. She tilts her head and slides her lips against Madoka's, her tongue playing with her darling's and spreading the melty chocolate across it.
Madoka Akemi 2016-09-12 14:22:06 54568
Madoka is quick to shake her head, "It isn't fatalism if it's a good thing; it's certainty, fate, or belief!" She giggles afterwards, "There's nothing wrong with being close with my family anyway. They are nice, and," she pauses a moment, considering words to try and be gentle and tactful, "and your family is in a different city, so you don't have them to rely on." Madoka actually frowns a tiny bit, "Mama and Papa are good people... I think they'd want to be there for you if you needed someone whether or not you're my girlfriend. Just by being my friend I think if you really wanted to be close to them, you could be."

There's something about being told she's been worth all that suffering that makes Madoka stop and blush. Homura knows by now exactly what she's getting for all that pain, and if she still thinks that it's a huge compliment. She makes a soft, happy sound when her cheek is nuzzled, looking shyly into Homura's eyes after she speaks sweet and romantic words. "You're the best friend I could ever ask for, and I think maybe the best friend anyone could ever ask for. I feel so lucky to have my beloved be my best friend. I can't think of anything better than being your little angel forever."

She then lets out a soft giggle about the comment on their first kiss, leaning into Homura enough to rock her slightly in her seat before whispering teasingly, "I think you got it right."

Madoka then smiles brightly, "You've spoiled me enough I think it's fair that I get to spoil you, too. If I being with you makes you that happy I don't think I could ask for anything more. I just want to keep living my life and sharing it with you. Whatever is waiting for us, I know it will be better if we're meeting it together."

"Well, maybe not 'fatalistic', but... I mean..." Homura tries to find words. "I guess I just... I don't know. Yeah, belief. Maybe fate." If this is fate, then Homura has to wonder at what point fate decided to be even remotely nice to her. Then again, new universe, she reminds herself.

The mention of Homura's family makes her frown. There's a little bit of guilt there, because ages and legalities aside Homura considers Junko the kind of person she might go drinking with, and Madoka doesn't even know either of Homura's parents. She doesn't have very much to say about it, so she doesn't say anything.

"I never had trouble getting along with your family in past timelines. I think I only avoided them because I didn't want to drag them into... you know... things. They've always been nice."

Homura does consider Madoka worth it. More than worth it even, and if Madoka likes hearing that, well, it's the truth anyways? On the other hand, what Madoka responds with is really sweet and Homura is blushing so hard by the end of it. Her voice is very soft. "I do want that, to be yours forever. Getting to be your best friend and your beloved... especially forever... I can't imagine anything better than that."

Madoka says she got that kiss right, and Homura grins. "Well then mission accomplished~."

Homura meekly shifts, scuffing her foot as Madoka talks about spoiling her back. Eheh. Looking back to their original conversation on 'spoiling', there's some comfort in the fact that Homura was a romantic even at her worst. Then what Madoka says next has her feeling very light all over. "I agree. I mean... I don't want to rush things too much, but I really do look forward to spending the rest of my life with you."

"I feel bad about that, not being able to share what we're really doing with Mama and Papa. I'd like if they could be happy for me for that too, but I wouldn't want to scare them, especially when there's so many awful things that have happened as well. It isn't good, to know about magic and not be able to do anything about it." Madoka knows that first hand! "I'm glad to hear they've always been good to you, though. I can't imagine why they wouldn't be."

Homura's voice getting soft puts flutters in Madoka's heart, and she leans her head in to nuzzle against Homura as she speaks. "I can't either," she whispers quietly. She meets Homura's eyes after she shifts, blushing lightly at the scuffing of her foot. Madoka sets her chopsticks down and gently wraps her arms around Homura, holding her hands together on her upper arm, "I don't think we should rush... but I don't think we have to. I'm not going to change my mind, and I'm sure you aren't either."

The gaze of her soft pink eyes is as gentle as it has ever been, and her smile is sweetly understated, "There isn't any doubt in my mind that I'll spend the rest of my life with you, Homura-chan; there hasn't been for a while." She presses her forehead and fluffy bangs into Homura's, peeking upward into her eyes and brushing the tip of her girlfriend's, "I love you too much to spend my life without you."

Homura's laugh is a little awkward. "I can't even imagine how they'd react if they found out where you were during Walpurgisnacht, and that was before you had the magic to defend yourself with." Nevermind them finding out what happened in all of those previous timelines. No, even if Junko ever did find out, Homura would want to spare her that detail.

Homura sets her lunch down on the bench next to her, and pushes it aside. Then she leans further against Madoka and wraps arms around her again. She isn't sure what she'd do without getting to hold Madoka in her arms. "That's how I feel, too. We aren't going to change our minds. We've made our decision, and I don't see how we could have possibly decided otherwise at this point. So there's no hurry at all..."

Homura giggles at a thought, and then shares it, "... though I'd love to see you in a wedding dress. I bet you'd look really cute, standing before an altar with me. I mean... I can't imagine us not doing that eventually."

Someone else might say such words and not really mean them, but Homura Akemi is pretty sure. She loves Madoka Kaname, and has for so, so long. The fact that her love is returned is such a wonderful thing. She still thinks that, in a normal timeline without magic or time travel, Homura probably wouldn't even be able to wait 12 years for that, or even 6 years.

Fluffy bangs are pressed against her, and her hair is brushed aside, and Homura can't help but feel giddy all over. "I do, too. Just when I think I couldn't be happier, you always prove me wrong. I don't even want anyone else. You're the only one for me."

"Eheheh... I still feel bad about having to lie to them about that, but I was being honest about going to help people who needed medical treatment." It just wasn't at anything close to an official aid point like she'd implied. "I think Mama would understand... but if I can keep her from having to worry about me I think that's for the best."

Homura's arms are soon around her and suddenly everything feels even more right than they were a moment before. Madoka takes in a breath and lets it out as a soft sigh, feeling comfortable and happy. She nods lightly to Homura's words, though perks up for a moment at the giggling. Her cheeks flush and she giggles herself, "I hope I look cute for you, when it's time." She bites her bottom lip smiling afterwards and giggling softly, "I'm sure we will. Just thinking about it gets me excited... but it's still best to wait, at least for now."

For a moment she's less giddy and giggly and more serious, "I've thought about it before, you know. About what it might mean for us to get married, really soon." A nervous laugh, "Eheh... it was when you first showed me the Tenshi Maru, after Hannah made that joke. I wasn't sure where you were taking me and it was a big secret, so my mind kind of wandered." She smiles sheepishly, wondering if Homura remembers how odd she was acting on the car ride down to the docks. "If it was very soon there would be all kinds of problems, and I think we both know that."

A soft shake of her head, "But that doesn't mean that will always be true. I don't think it's even a good time for something official like an engagement because of our ages, but..." She turns her head to better whisper into Homura's ear, "I will be your bride some day. I'll stand waiting for you at the alter, marry you, and let the whole world celebrate and know what we already do, that we belong together and to each other and will until the end of time."

After saying something like that it would feel almost wrong not to seal it with a kiss, and so Madoka's lips press sweetly into Homura's.

"If you don't want them to know then as far as I'm concerned they never have to," says Homura. She doesn't remember if she's said as much before, but she does want to make her stance clear.

Hugs really do make everything right, don't they? Cuddles, too. "You in a wedding dress would be so nice. I'm going to burn that image into my memory when it happens." She nuzzles against Madoka's cheek, letting her hair brush against Madoka's skin. "Honestly, just knowing that it will happen is enough for me. I couldn't possibly expect any more than that."

When Madoka turn serious, Homura looks up at her, tilting her head, paying close attention to her pink eyes. Someone she's so in love with is telling her something important. How could she ignore it?

"Ehehe... the Tenshi Maru?" says Homura. She thinks back to that. "Oh my god, and I even said it was a reason why we would spend more time with each other. I had no idea..." Homura shakes her head. "No, I don't think anyone would accept it. I could argue to Mamo-kun or someone else that we've actually known each other for twelve years, and in that context saying that we're deciding this too soon is incredibly ridiculous, but I couldn't explain that to our parents or teachers. Besides, I'm pretty sure that getting married before 16 is illegal."

    Did she... actually check? Maybe.

"I don't want either of us to have to deal with those kinds of problems. I want to get everything between us right, as much as we can. It's okay if we have to wait."

Even an engagement would be too much? Well, it'd be a pretty long engagement, and there would be so much freaking out about it, imagines Homura. "I mean, yeah, we don't have to announce our intent." Then Madoka whispers into her ear, and Homura's first words, instead of returning the promise, is to whisper back, "Remember when I said I liked it when you acted mature?"

She cracks a small, reserved smile, and moves so that her lips are covered by Madoka's fluffy pigtails. "I'll be your bride, too. Nothing can stop that. I'll have you and you'll have me and we'll be together forever, and when we do it it'll be a time when everyone we love can celebrate with us."

Then Homura is kissed, by her sweet little angel, and she presses her lips back against Madoka in return. With the topic at hand, she can't help but think about one kiss in particular they're intending to have, even if it's a ways off.
